AMAGC 2026 Line Updates

Here is where we will update our line control and let you know what wristbands can get in line. This will be up and running on event day!

Not all authors will have wristbands. However, we will monitor lines and add
wristbands to authors if they get too long and will adjust as needed.

When entering the event, the first 10-15 readers at a “wristbanded” table can
stay without needing a bracelet. After that, a volunteer will manage the line
with color-coded, numbered bracelets labeled with the author’s last name. Be
kind to the volunteers — they’re fellow book lovers working hard to keep things
running smoothly. Bracelets act as placeholders; losing one means getting a
new one (if available), but you’ll move to the back. Once the initial group of 15
dwindles to 5, the volunteer will call the next set of 15 by bracelet number — this
repeats throughout the event. If you miss your number being called because
you're in another line, don’t worry! Your bracelet remains valid from that point
on. For example, if you have "STEINER 24" and they’re calling 0-50, you can join
the line anytime after. Each bracelet is a one-time use, and volunteers can’t
control bracelet availability, so please be patient and understanding.

Additionally, stay up to date throughout the event via the Line Control Update
page on our website. This page will be available closer to the event and
updated on this packet. You can also ask the volunteers manning the lines what
number that author is on. 

If an author finishes all of their wristbands early, the line will say OPEN on the
website and anyone can join the line. 

You are allowed to get 2 wristbands per person per author.

General Admission start time.
